Bye Bye Dream House
Now I have to go live in a crappier, not-my-dreamhouse, house.
GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!
If you haven’t figured it out, those bastards came in above asking price and STOLE MY HOUSE.
I’m very unhappy now

So the bank got back to us today. They are calling both buyers back for their “best offers”. Um HELLO that was my best offer! I have nothing else to give them except my right leg and my yarn stash! This isn’t looking good. Hopefully I’ll get their decision tomorrow sometime. Ya know, I’m gonna be heartbroken if I don’t get this house
Do you ever wake up just craving something else? Well this morning I did. I woke up craving San Francisco. It happens. It happens to me a lot lately. I just wake up remembering the city and the last time I was there and just feel sad that I haven’t been back lately. I miss it there. A lot.
Some of you filled out the meme I left below. Nice to know people are still reading my blog!
Here’s what I’ve found:
No one lives around a Sonic. Considering my blog-friends live all over the US, where the hell are all the Sonics located and why do they have to tease us with their commercials if we can’t find them!?
We can’t do push ups or chin ups. Thank goodness they didn’t ask about sit ups!
Our favorite hobby is overwhelmingly knitting - DUH.
We drink a lot of coffee and tea. Funny, no one but me drinks green smoothies LOL.
We worry a lot about money.
No one really likes sleeping on satin sheets.
Most would only want to be pirates if Jack Sparrow was around.
No one seemed to have any cool sheets as a kid.

Well, I put an offer on the house today! My friend Dave went and looked at it and said the foundation is solid, the furnace is newer, the roof is newer, the electrical has been updated, and it looks solid. It will be needing windows and siding (at some point - I think it looks good). So Yeah for me! Only problem is there is another offer on the table. So now its a waiting game. Everyone think positive thoughts for me!
Look what I woke up to this morning! Isn’t it gorgeous?! I thought I had killed it, but I guess not!

I love orchids, they’re so pretty and simple.
I saw 5 houses today. Only one was something I’d consider living in. I’m looking at more tomorrow so hopefully I’ll see something I like. The weather was perfect today, I wish it would stay that way! They’re saying we’re going to get snow again early next week - booooooooo!
Yea! I got my pre-approval this morning and I’m getting the hell out of this apartment and away from my noisy upstairs neighbors as soon as I find a house!
I told Matt this morning and he’s excited too. He’s even excited about getting a dog. That’s good, cause that means he’ll help with the dog and not be all pissy every time I have to ask him to let the dog out.
So my realtor sent me a bunch of houses to look at and we’re going to go see some of the front-runners this coming week after work.
I’m so excited I can’t sit still!
Well, I have no new knitting to show you. I’ve been busy lately!
I’ve decided that with my 30th b-day on the horizon, it’s time to grow up and buy a house. I submitted my loan application, so now I’m just waiting for the approval. Shouldn’t be long I’m guessing. I was approved for one a couple years ago, so I’m not that worried. I started looking online to find some houses I may want to look at. I’ve found quite a few. Some need lots of work, some are move-in ready. I don’t mind the whole painting/cleaning/yardwork thing, I just really don’t want to have to do a whole kitchen remodel. I don’t have the cash for that!
I have a few different areas I’m looking at. Cuyahoga County taxes suck, so I’m also looking in the northern part of Akron. I really don’t want to move any further south, but the taxes are better down there. But still, I really, really, really don’t want to move to Akron.
I’ve also decided that since I’m probably going to be living in a less-than-desirable neighborhood, I’m getting a dog. I’ve found the perfect one that I want to adopt. I hope he’s still available in a few months. He’s a Great Dane, about 4 years old, and very well trained (yippey!). Doesn’t hurt to have a huge dog when you’re living in a shitty neighborhood. Now, I’ve never had a dog before, but I’m sure I can do it. I think it will be nice to have a dog around since Matt’s not home much anyway. I’m not sure what I’m more excited about, the dog or the house! I’d also like to get a pig, but I think I’ll tackle that one after I move out of the city.
It will be really nice to have a room for my office / knitting. It will also be great to have an extra bedroom for when family or friends come to visit. I just hope you don’t mind sleeping on the floor cause after I buy the house, I won’t be able to afford another bedroom set hahaha. I will also have two extra bedrooms so that when Matt decides to move out, I can get another roommate if I want to. A backyard, an attic, a garage – woohoo!
Hopefully I’ll be going to open houses soon and have some updates! Cross your fingers for me! Also, I’m scared to death about doing this, so send me some happy thoughts!
Or is this ad super creepy?

I’m adding this to my list of things that creep me out.
I don’t have much to report, sorry! Work is crazy this week cause its Food Show time. It’ll be over after this weekend, thank god. I’m sooooo not looking forward to standing in one place for the next two days, but I got a squishy mat from my friend Nancy to stand on, so that will help!
I watched Waitress last weekend. It was good. I also watched Brokeback Mountain…yes I know its old, but I have never seen it! It was good too. Now I’m making Veggie Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes and I’m about to chill for the rest of the night, cause lucky me! I get to work tomorrow too!
Hopefully next post I will have at least some knitting to show you!
PS - I love this weather. I don’t get to say that very often since I live in Cleveland, so I’m saying it. Its 9:30pm and its 65 degrees out…I wish it would stay like this all year! While I was at the grocery store today after work, it started raining pretty hard and the sun was so bright, and I turned around and there were TWO rainbows, really really bright ones, it was really cool. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my phone with me or I’d have a visual for you guys, sorry.
